To be honest, I found this reading difficult to understand and found it quite boring because of it. Firstly, I found it interesting how Joan Miro used words to represent the things he saw instead of actually drawing or painting people/places, it’s interesting that he used words to represent the visuals. I’ve never heard of or seen anyone do that. I like how he didn’t just jot down words that stood out to him but used every single detail, and information he could find to recreate and represent what he saw in text, in order to give the viewer the same feelings that he may have felt while seeing them. By seeing his work, you don’t need to imagine what’s there and what isn’t because everything is literally laid out in front of you in text form.

I think Joan Miro’s work is a good representation of the revolution of everyday life. Although everyday life can be mundane and feel programmed, after realizing that, you will come to want more and desire a “better life”. I think making even the smallest details of your everyday life seem extraordinary can help you feel more in control of your life. Therefore, making your life feel more exciting, in a way, I think Miro does that.
